Thorhild Widvey appointed Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy
Thorhild
Widvey (48) was today appointed Minister of Petroleum and
Energy.
Ms. Widvey was state secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from January 2003 until today. From June 2002 till January 2003 she was state secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries. She has been Member of Parliament from 1989 till 1997 for Rogaland Conservative Party, and deputy member from 1985 till 1989. She was member of the Standing Committee on Health and Social Affairs and the Standing Committee on Transport
